2006/05/17 Website Update: University of Tokyo

University of Tokyo Top Page Revisions

We have just successfully completed updates to the University of Tokyo's website in order to enhance the ease of usability. Adjustments were made to improve the running and information network systems.
The top page was reconstructed using HTML and CSS so that the news on the top page is relevant to the current user. We also streamlined and simplified the updating system and the RSS. We are quite please with the results.

2006/04/10 TOHO College of Music renewal launches

HMC was responsible for the design and construction of TOHO's entire website

4/10/mon pm3:00 TOHO website updated.
TOHO, having been around for 68 years, has a long and storied history in Japan so when we set out to design the website we wanted to maintain this sentiment aesthetically. Another important feature was enhancing the usability and navigation of the website's contents. For this purpose we used XHTML and CSS to streamline the way the information is structured providing a more elegant and efficient experience. Using our prior experience in information design we made use of flash to create the campus map allowing users a higher level of interactivity.

Chuo University's campus map designed by HMC is used as an example of exemplary information design in "Web Designing" magazine, February, 2006 issue.
